“We went to a small lake…It was beautiful. It was perfectly still when we got there in the morning. The fog was lifting off the water. It was just magical.”

Cortona Wedding Photographer
This beautiful couple chose Italy to celebrate their special day and of course Cortona, known throughout the world, is always a special setting for an unforgettable wedding!
Bride and groom relied totally to the skill of Romantic Italian Weddings as their wedding planners. The brilliant Marco accompanied them step by step in building the wedding of their dreams, in every detail. Cortona Cathedral, dating back to the year 1000 and built on earlier Etruscan remains, was originally a Romanesque church, later restored according to Renaissance dictates and represents a place of great spirituality and artistic value. Among the artworks contained inside the cathedral, you can admire the beautiful Transfiguration by Raffaello Vanni… a great church indeed for a romantic wedding!
Being so close to the border with Umbria region, the couple chose Passignano sul Trasimeno as ideal place to get ready and later to welcome family and friends. The wedding reception took place in the beautiful San Crispolto estate, a luxury villa overlooking the lake with elegant details and a wine and food offer based on local delicacies, which was valuable!
The lake, surrounded by fragrant lavender and olive trees, has been the magical setting for a truly unique day!
